It had been over 10 years since my last visit to Blacksburg and somethings have changed while many things remained the same. The campus has continued to grow and the surrounding area is becoming more and more developed and a few establishments have since closed.
One thing that remained the same are the very talented and kind faculty across the Forestry, Plant-Soils, and Geoscience departments. From an invite by Dr. Brian Strahm, it was great to talk about soils and metals and their interactions for supporting or poisoning terrestrial ecosystems.
While there, it began to snow and it was a snowy drive home on 81 North but it went smooth. Looking forward to visit my hokie friends in the near future again.
