Spring has finally begun to show up in Charlottesville VA, in early March, with flowers popping up.
I began with cleaning up the raised beds and checking on the compost and unfortunately found my first jumping worm of 2026!
It is a bit amazing that even with the very low temperatures we had this winter (single degrees Fahrenheit), these worms that are not hardy were able to surive!
Time to keep hunting them this year!
One of the nicest aspects of living Virginia is the early spring.
Daffodils in February is something we simply did not get in Massachusetts or New York state!
